Visited the site only minutes after landing in a failed attempt to see it landing. I was stunned that Michelle and Tycho from Flensburg arrived only minutes later. I begang to speculate on the relativistic effects of such a trip. In fact they were returning home from a holiday trip when they made a stop on a nearby petrol and rest station at the motorway. They checked wetterson.de and discovered that a radiosonde had just landed only 500m away from them. The walked to the position and were astonished to meet a guy inspecting the canopy of a tree with binoculars Unfortunately there was no possibilty for a joint recovery effort as the sonde was too high in the tree.

Yesterday, after some storms, I returned to the position to find the sonde below the tree. Some boars had obivously used it as a chewing gum.
