Werner and I wait on the rest area Gersdorf just before the Sonde comes from Udine. After the balloon burst, we were on the way to the "Weinstrasse" to see the landing in Austria. (Normal forecast for Vaisala) Unfortunately, there was the balloon still on 10000m altitude and we gave chase across to Eastern Styria on to the middle Burgenland. Where we at about 700m, the Sonde lost but still drove in the direction (25km away). 300m before the locality was then the probe but listen even suddenly.
Then after a short bearing I could see the probe already. Sonde and parachute taken for the museum.
